Summary
Professional Carriers Inc Somerville, NB $55,000 - $65,000 a year – Full-time, Permanent PositionDescription
- Drivers will transport refrigerated goods throughout service points within Canada with our fleet of modern equipment
- Primary lanes are Canada only with options for long haul western or ON-East loads
- Serve as an ambassador for the company in a “Professional” manner in every interaction with clients and with the public
Duties
- Ensure that appointment times are met or that delays are immediately communicated to dispatch
- Ensure that reefer operation is strictly monitored to ensure no unnecessary claims
- Protect the integrity of equipment provided – tractors, trailers, cold walls, etc and to immediately report any accidents, incidents or mechanical failures which result in damage or loss of this equipment
- Operate electronic logs and follow all hours of service regulations
- Communicate via satellite required load updates
Qualifications
- Must be located in Canada
- Minimum of two years driving experience required
- Reefer, mountain driving experience and ability to cross the border are all considered assets
- Clean, current criminal check and driver’s abstract must be provided
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English
Benefits
- Mileage rate $0.41 cents per mile
- Picks and drops are in addition to milage rate
- Safety/Utilization bonus, paid quarterly, $0.01 cent per mile
- Fuel bonus, paid quarterly, $0.01 cent per mile
